‘Little Robbery’ Awaits Sentencing for Killing Woman

Georgetown, Guyana – Naresh Ally, also known as “Little Robbery,” has pleaded guilty to the 2018 killing of 22-year-old Romeza Sukdeo, whose body was found in a bushy area at Hydronie Market Road, Parika, East Bank Essequibo.
The 42-year-old appeared before Justice Peter Hugh at the Demerara High Court, where he admitted to the lesser charge of manslaughter after initially being indicted for murder.
Sentencing has been scheduled for October 17, 2024, following the preparation of a probation report, victim impact statements, and the presentation of aggravating and mitigating factors.
Sukdeo’s partially decomposed body was discovered by a security guard in November 2018.
An autopsy revealed that she died from strangulation and blunt force trauma to the head. Reports suggest that the young woman had been battling substance abuse for several years before her tragic death.
Ally is represented by attorney Kean Trotman, while prosecutor Caressa Henry is leading the case for the state.
