LOLA DOLL SHOOTING; Paul Daby now in police custody

September 08, 2025

Businessman Paul Daby is now in police custody after showing up at the East Ruimveldt Police Station in the company of his lawyer following the issuance of the Police Wanted Bulletin. His Attorney, Siand Dhurjon, confirmed the latest development.

Dhurjon accompanied his client to the police just after noon on Monday, September 08, 2025.

On Sunday, September 07, 2025, the Guyana Police Force issued a wanted bulletin for Daby, several hours after they had arrested an ex-police policeman in connection with the shooting of Lolita Callender. The ex-policeman who was once charged with murder is said to be an associate of Daby.

Calander, who was shot multiple times while sitting in her vehicle in front of her home Saturday night, remains warded at the Georgetown Public Hospital, where her condition remains serious but with signs of improvement.

Lolita Callender is a professional makeup artist and musical artist who has been making waves locally, regionally, and internationally with her lyrics and her consistent hit songs.

The police investigations into the shooting are ongoing
