SHOOTING: Lola Doll is in critical condition- GPF says

The Guyana Police Force on Sunday morning released a statement indicating that 33 Year old Lolita Callander is in a critical condition as doctors continue to tend to her.

Callender popularly known as Lola Doll was shot outside her home at Tesas Square, East Ruimveldt Georgetown. She was at the time said to be sitting in her car.

The incident according to police, took place at approximately 23:35, the police noted.

The Doll rose to immense fame and popularity after she began singing music about her own personal experience. Because her music mostly sings in representation of women, she earn herself the nickname “Aunty” or “Aunty Lola.

The police force confirmed that Lola was shot to the face, neck, arm and leg.

Police are looking for a lone gunman who showed up on a motorcycle. CCTV cameras are being reviewed as the investigation remains active.
