Guyana Amazon Head Coach, Lance Klusener, during a team training session on Tuesday afternoon highlighted that tonight’s (September 10) game is “crucial” with valuable points at stake to finish higher on the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) table.

“Tomorrow (tonight) is a big day for us, as you said it’s two points that we desperately need and then we will look forward to the weekend and deal with that afterwards but tomorrow is a big game for us and we’re going to need to take our opportunities against a team that can surprise anyone on any given day; so we will have to come ready to compete and we’re going to have to compete well tomorrow (tonight),” Klusener stated.

Meanwhile, Klusener also highlighted what will continue to be the key ingredient to the success of the Amazon Warriors for the remainder of the CPL season.

“I thought the bowling has been excellent, we based most of our attack around spin, especially here at Providence as well, it’s spin to win.

“I thought they were excellent, if anything I think we have leaked a few runs in the last five overs against a couple of teams, so we just need to execute better there,” Klusener mentioned.

The Guyana Amazon Warriors face the Antigua and Barbuda Falcon from 19:00hrs tonight at the Providence stadium in their eighth match of the season.
