Get ready for a thrilling showdown as the Guyana Bank of Trade and Industry (GBTI) steps up as a powerhouse sponsor for the highly anticipated KFC Goodwill International School Football Tournament! Kicking off on December 14 at the Ministry of Education grounds, this event promises to be a spectacular celebration of talent and sportsmanship.

With a staggering investment of 1.5 million dollars, GBTI is making waves in the world of youth football. Head of Marketing, Pernell Cummings, revealed the excitement at a vibrant handing-over ceremony, emphasizing, “Football is a beautiful game, and GBTI is thrilled to invest in its future. We hope one of our three Guyanese teams will shine and bring the championship home!”

Adding to the buzz, Troy Mendonca, Co-director of the Petra Organisation, expressed heartfelt gratitude to GBTI, highlighting the crucial role such tournaments play in nurturing football talent. “As we gear up for the sixth annual goodwill tournament, we are ecstatic to have GBTI on board. Your contribution is a vital investment in the players and their futures!”

This year’s tournament promises an electrifying competition, featuring schools from Brazil, Suriname, The Bahamas, Jamaica, and Trinidad. Mark your calendars for December 14.
