February 5 2025– Police are investigating the alleged murder of 47-year-old businessman Kyle Anthony Solomon, who was fatally stabbed early this morning (February 5, 2025) in D’Urban Backlands, Georgetown.

Authorities are currently searching for a 16-year-old suspect, identified as a school dropout from the same area.

According to initial investigations, Solomon had exited his house around 4:00 a.m. when he saw the teenager attempting to break into his shop through a southern door, located approximately 30 feet from his residence. Upon raising an alarm, the suspect fled, prompting Solomon to give chase.

After catching up to the suspect, a heated argument ensued, during which the teenager allegedly drew a knife and inflicted multiple stab wounds on Solomon, striking him in the chest, lower abdomen, left rib, left arm, and elbow.

The businessman collapsed at the scene while the suspect fled.

Solomon was later pronounced dead by Dr. Walcott at the Georgetown Public Hospital. His body has since been transported to the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, where a post-mortem examination is pending.

Police have questioned several individuals and are actively working to locate the suspect. Investigations remain ongoing.
