Woman kills man who refused to let her leave abusive relationship

A woman who has been subjected to constant blows for two years after shacking up with her reputed husband has been able to leave with her life while her abuser is now dead.
At around 08:15hrs on Monday morning at 109 Sideline Dam, Golden Grove, East Coast Demerara, 40-year-old laborer Michael Wilson was stabbed two times by 30-year-old Aquilla Abrams a housewife.

It was communicated to BIG Smith News Watch that the two would have constant domestic issues and Wilson would frequently accuse Abrams of being unfaithful and verbally and physically abuse her in the process.
On Sunday night the Abrams told Wilson that she was ending the relationship and returning to her parent’s home, but Wilson would have none of it. They argued throughout the night into Monday as things got violent when Abrams was packing her items to move out. Wilson picked up a knife and slashed Abrams on the arms and she wrestled the knife from him and stabbed him twice, killing him in the process.
When EMTs arrived at the location, they examined Wilson, stabilized him, and then escorted him to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he subsequently died of his injuries.
Abrams was escorted for medical attention at a nearby health facility before being escorted to the Georgetown Public Hospital where she remains under police guard as she seeks further medical attention.
