Cop in AK-47 Shooting Video Sent to Jail

December 4 2025
Police Constable Daniel Henry of the Port Kaituma Police Station in Region One was on Thursday, December 4, 2025, remanded to prison after being charged with Possession of a Firearm with Intent to Injure.
Henry, who appeared unrepresented, was brought before Magistrate Robindranauth Singh at the Port Kaituma Magistrate’s Court via Zoom.
The charge was read to him, but no plea was taken since it is indictable.
Magistrate Singh denied bail and ordered that the constable be remanded.
The case has been adjourned to January 14, 2026, for the disclosure of all statements and exhibits.
The charge comes days after a video of the officer went viral on social media. In the footage, Henry was allegedly seen intoxicated, out of uniform, and reportedly on duty while firing an AK-47 rifle during a confrontation.
Authorities launched an investigation shortly after the clip surfaced, leading to the present charge.
