Raywattie “Annie” Khemraj, was arrested on Wednesday following an incident of malicious damage to property at Mon Repos School Road, East Coast Demerara.
According to Police, the incident occurred around 07:10 hrs on December 3, 2025, when motor canter GAC 7299, driven by 49-year-old Rohit Narine of Good Hope, was heading north along Mon Repos School Road.
Narine told investigators he was forced to swerve when Khemraj, driving motorcar PAG 4521, entered his path at speed. Both vehicles continued on their way after the brief encounter.
According to Narine, while he was waiting at a traffic light a short distance away, Khemraj drove up via a cross street, exited her vehicle with a metal pipe, and struck the canter repeatedly, damaging it’s window glass and the right-side rear-view mirror, valued at $150,000.
Traffic ranks later intercepted and arrested Khemraj, She was taken to the Mon Repos Police Outpost and placed in custody.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
