Zadok Ministers Fellowship, which was founded and headed by Government Minister of Public Works Juan Edghill, has described the death of 11-year-old Adrianna Younge as murder and calls on the Guyana Police Force to, among other things, dispense justice free from corruption while ensuring all families find solace in the truth.

ZADOK Ministries Fellowship is a grouping of independent Pentecostal churches. The organization was formed in 2018.

In its statement, it also mentioned the deaths of Ronaldo Peters and Keon Fogenay of Linden, which occurred earlier in April.

“Considering the recent heartbreaking events in our beloved nation, including the tragic shootings of 21 Year old Ronaldo Peters and 32 Year old Keon Fogenay in Linden and the murder of 11 year old Adrianna Younge in Tuschen, Zadok Ministers Fellowship expresses its deep sorrow and offers our heartfelt condolences to the affected families and communities” the release from Edghill’s organization stated.

Edghill has not made any official comment in his capacity as a Government Minister on the issue, the classification of Younge’s death as a murder in the absence of a postmortem report.

11-Yr-Old Adrianna Younge, who went to the Double Day Hotel to swim with her family, was discovered unaccounted for, and after hours, she turned up dead in the hotel’s pool, which was searched several times after it was discovered that she was missing. When those searches were done, there was no sign of the child inside the pool.

The organization stated that based on the scriptures which speak to loving one’s neighbor, it [organization] identifies with the families of all three incidents during these difficult times.

According to the statement, the organization is calling for hope, healing, and restoration of hope while it implores the Guyana Police Force to fulfill its duties and responsibilities with integrity and diligence, and let justice be served fairly for all victims.

Zadok Ministers Fellowship also calls on community members and leaders to foster an environment of safety and respect. Responsible decision-making that prioritizes the community and action is also on the fellowship’s expectation list.

A call was also made for April 27 to be a day that all churches pray for the nation.
