Woman hands reputed husband with unlicensed gun over to cops

On Monday evening the police through their 911 emergency call center received a call about a domestic violence situation.

At about 23:45, the police showed up at the home of the suspect in Festival City where they made contact with one Alisha Williams.

She told thr ranks that her reputed husband, 27 year old Shaquwhyn Duncan threatened her with a gun.

The ranks  contacted the Suspect at his home and a search was carried out on him which revealed that he was carrying at the time, 9mm pistol with the serial number filed off along with magazine containing three live 9mm round ammunition  in his pants crotch.

The suspect was asked if he has a licence to carry same and he said no, he was told of the offence committed  arrested and cautioned.

He was then escorted to East La Penitence Police Station where the Firearm and ammunition were marked sealed and lodged.
