SJB dominate in Round Three action of Courts Optical Pee-Wee School Football

The excitement was palpable at the Ministry of Education ground as the Courts Optical Pee-Wee School Football Tournament continued on Saturday, October 11 with round three action and a show of dominance from St. John the Baptist (SJB) Primary School.

In a stunning display, St. John the Baptist Primary crushed Genesis Primary 7-0. Star striker Aaron Christian shone brightly, netting two goals, while Nathan Edwards and Alex Pearson also scored twice. Orlando Deeges, and Jarrell Schroeder each added to the scoreline with a goal apiece.

Meanwhile, Atgash Primary also made headlines with an impressive 5-0 victory over Leonora Primary. Justin Calvan was the standout performer, scoring a hat-trick, while Carlos Paul contributed two more, solidifying Atgash’s dominance on the day.

West Ruimveldt Primary also had an impressive showing, delivering an outstanding performance by defeating Charity Primary 5-0. Ceon Rajkumar was the star of the match, netting three goals, while Yanique Cadogan added another, ensuring a comprehensive victory for West Ruimveldt. The fifth goal came via an own goal from Chairty Primary.

St. Gabriel’s Primary put on a solid display of football by defeating GIA 3-0. Nathan Melville was the highlight of the match with two goals, while Zion Hickerson contributed a solo effort, showcasing St. Gabriel’s attacking prowess.

In other results, Potaro Primary edged Redeemer 1-nil, St. Theressa Primary topped Ann’s Grove 2-0 and Smith Memorial Primary narrowly defeated Winfer Gardens Primary 1-0.

The tournament will now head into Round of 16 action on Saturday, October 18.
