Magistrate sends Automobile scammer to jail

October 18, 2024

The Anti-Fraud Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department will today bring Omeca Primo before the court to answer thirteen fraud-related charges of Collecting Money by False Pretense. The charges stem from multiple complaints lodged with the police against her by at least fifty persons.

Primo, 36-Years-old of Central Amelia’s Ward Linden is the proprietress of Primo’s Import and Taxi Service. She is accused of collecting millions of dollars from persons to have automobiles delivered to them but has failed in some instances to provide those goods while refusing to refund persons their monies.

On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, Primo was arrested by the police after another young man came forward with a report against her. He purchased a car from Primo’s Imports and Taxi Service owned and operated by Omeca Primo.

However, after paying monthly installments for the vehicle to Primo’s company, the man’s car was repossessed by a larger car dealership, BM Soat Auto Sales and Rental. It turned out that Primo through her company, has been purchasing vehicles from larger car dealerships and reselling them to persons unknowing to the larger dealerships.

Police sources have indicated that Omeca is expected to have other charges instituted against her before the end of next week.

Persons who transact business with the woman and are unable to have their goods delivered are asked to report to the police station nearest to them and make a report so that those matters can be investigated
