Burnt remains in car suspected to be missing woman.

The burnt  remains that were found in a torched vehicle at Swan, off the Soesdyke/Linden are believed to that of a missing woman.

Nirvana Algu has been identified as the owner of the Audi that was found burning at around 17.00hrs on Monday, November 13.

Investigators intend to collect samples from the remains and that of close relatives and package them for DNA testing.

Efforts to locate Algu have proven futile thus far.

According to Crime Chief Wendell Blanhum,  she was last seen at 16:32 hrs in the said motorcar at the Soesdyke Junction.

Blanhum also said that bleach bottle found near the scene contained an unidentified liquid, which would have to be analyzed by the Guyana Forensic Science Laboratory.

He also said that an individual is being questioned by investogators
