Ambassador Theriot lauds gvt for its innovative approach to agriculture.
Minister of Agriculture Zulfikar Mustapha received a courtesy call from Ambassador Nicole D. Theriot at his Regent Street office earlier today.
During their engagement, the officials discussed possible areas for collaboration in Guyana’s agriculture sector. Ambassador Theriot credited the government for its innovative approach to developing the sector and pledged continued support from the US.
Some of the areas discussed were Guyana’s progress with producing high-value crops, spices, corn, and soya as well as Guyana’s role in CARICOM to advance Regional Food Security.
