Brickdam Police Station fire: All prisoners accounted for

All prisoners housed at the Brickdam locks have been accounted for. The prisoners have been escorted from the lock ups as fire ravages the Brickdam Police Station.

However, several vehicles which are exhibits as well as those that may have belong to ranks at the station have been destroyed.

Up to 12:44 the only buildings saved were the Impact Base Building and the male barracks room.

Fire fighters continue to battle at rage at the police station located oblique to the Home Affairs Ministry and a stone throw away from the Guyana Fire Service down town station.

Up to this time, the origin of the fire is unknown.
