President Ali honoured with CEAPI medal in Spain

President Dr Irfaan Ali has been honoured with the CEAPI Medal of Honour in Madrid, Spain, in recognition of his leadership and contribution to Guyana’s development and growing international standing.
The honour was presented during Ali’s one-day visit to Madrid, where he also held discussions with Madrid Mayor José Luis Martínez-Almeida.
The two exchanged views on the impact of sports tourism and its potential to contribute to the development of cities and countries.
President Ali also visited the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, home of Real Madrid, where he gained insights into the management and maintenance of the world-class sporting facility.
The visit forms part of Guyana’s continued engagement with international partners and institutions as the country seeks to strengthen its global presence and promote opportunities for development.
