Police Operation in Mahdia Leads to Drug Find

Police in Regional Division #8 uncovered 200 grams of suspected cannabis during a routine operation at the Mahdia Arcade on Sunday, July 21.
The discovery was made by a team of officers led by an Assistant Superintendent, who were conducting a targeted operation in the area. During a search near a building under construction, the ranks found several bags abandoned on the premises. The bags contained leaves, seeds, and stems believed to be cannabis.
The suspected narcotics were photographed at the scene and later taken to the Mahdia Police Station, where they were weighed and confirmed to total 200 grams.
Investigations into the discovery are ongoing.
