Seven New Immersive Tourism Experiences Launched in Guyana

November 26 2025
The Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, in partnership with the Guyana Tourism Authority (GTA), has launched seven new immersive tourism experiences aimed at deepening connections between visitors and Guyana’s diverse culture, people, and natural environment.

The products were officially unveiled on Tuesday during an Immersive Tourism Product Launch and Cocktail Evening held at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre, where tour operators, partners, and key tourism stakeholders gathered to celebrate continued innovation in the sector.
Delivering the feature address, Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, Hon. Susan Rodrigues, highlighted the ongoing transformation of the tourism industry and its growing potential as a major pillar of the national economy. She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting operators, particularly small businesses, in keeping with the administration’s broader developmental agenda.
“We are investing this time because we want to really grow Guyana’s tourism experience, elevate our visibility on the global platform, welcome our visitors and give them a truly immersive experience,” the Minister said.
GTA Director Kamrul Baksh underscored the agency’s continued focus on product development and experiential tourism.
During the programme, operators presented the seven newly developed tourism products:
● Bush Bar & Bites – Touring Guyana
● Kumerau Expedition – Blackwater Adventures
● Essequibo Got Taste – Eco Destination Tour Guyana
● Kids Botani Tour – Trail Masters Adventure Tours
● Cook Like a Guyanese Tour – Wanderlust Adventures GY
● Celebrating the Coconut – Eco Destination Tour Guyana
● Guyana Flying Dress Experience – Wanderlust Adventures GY
These additions form part of a wider national effort to diversify Guyana’s tourism offerings, promote community-based initiatives, and build meaningful cultural and nature-based experiences for locals and visitors alike.

A highlight of the evening was the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between Wanderlust Adventures GY and the Carnegie School of Home Economics, aimed at advancing culinary tourism.
Since 2020, more than 70 new tourism experiences have been added to Guyana’s rapidly expanding tourism portfolio.
