Agriculture Ministry reviews projects under PSIP

October 6 2026
Agriculture Minister Zulfikar Mustapha on Monday chaired the Ministry of Agriculture’s weekly Public Sector Investment Programme (PSIP) review meeting, as the ministry continues to monitor the implementation of projects and programmes across the sector.
The meeting brought together Minister within the Ministry of Agriculture Vikash Ramkissoon, senior ministry officials and representatives from the ministry’s various agencies.
The weekly reviews provide an opportunity to assess the progress of ongoing projects, examine implementation timelines and expenditure, identify challenges and determine measures needed to keep projects and programmes on schedule.
Minister Mustapha has been emphasising the need for effective execution and accountability as government continues to invest heavily in the agriculture sector.
The regular assessments are intended to ensure that allocated resources are being used efficiently and that investments translate into tangible benefits for farmers, producers and communities.
The ministry said the PSIP reviews will continue to form part of its efforts to strengthen monitoring, improve project delivery and ensure that planned agricultural initiatives are implemented effectively.
