August 17 2025
The Ministry of Housing and Water is turning heads at the International Building Expo 2025 with its dynamic and modern booth, designed to highlight the ministry’s achievements and future vision for housing development in Guyana.
Civil Engineer Jamal Brotherson guided visitors through the well-curated display, which features detailed models and replicas of housing designs completed over the years. From affordable starter homes to sleek, modern residences for young professionals, the booth captures the diverse range of housing solutions available to Guyanese families.

Among the highlights are models of the popular two-bedroom and three-bedroom young professional units, catering to varying income levels, as well as replicas of core homes that provide affordable housing options for those most in need.

Visitors also got a glimpse of the futuristic Silica City, where innovative, stylish designs promise to redefine modern living.
The booth doesn’t stop at houses—it also features the ministry’s contributions to national infrastructure. Displays showcase major highways and road networks developed under its leadership, underscoring the ministry’s role in building not only homes but also entire communities.
Adding to the experience, life-sized units of some housing models are available on-site, giving attendees the opportunity to step inside and experience firsthand the layouts and finishes of the homes. With a large team of staff on the ground to answer questions and provide guidance, the booth offers an interactive and informative space for all visitors.
Blending innovation, accessibility, and a clear vision for Guyana’s future housing landscape, the Ministry of Housing’s booth is proving to be one of the standout attractions at Building Expo 2025.
