April 29 2025- The Guyana Police Force has confirmed that Robin Simon and Azriel Asby, both of whom were the subjects of recently issued wanted bulletins, are now in police custody.

The two individuals are being held in connection with inciting public terror, an offence under the Criminal Law Offences Act.

Their arrests follow a wave of unrest that erupted across several parts of the country on Monday night.

Large crowds gathered in areas including Agricola, Buxton, Golden Grove, Vreed-en-Hoop, and Better Hope to stage protests. In some instances, the demonstrations escalated into looting, violence, and damage to public and private property.

The investigation remains ongoing as law enforcement continues efforts to restore order and hold those responsible for the violence accountable.
