Reality Youth: Spreading the Gospel Through Music and Ministry

February 10 2025 – Cyril Pitterson, known by his stage name Reality Youth, is a passionate and bold gospel artist whose music, filled with thought-provoking messages, is yet to reach the ears of the wider world.

His unique blend of hip-hop, reggae, and dancehall—delivered in English and Creole—carries a powerful mission: to proclaim the name of Jesus, challenge sin, and inspire believers to stand firm in spiritual warfare.

Born in Belize in 1975, Pitterson has spent over two decades in the music industry, using his artistry to share his testimony and spread the gospel. His transformation began in 1997 when, amid a street life of drugs and violence in downtown Chicago, he had a radical encounter with Jesus Christ.

“I accepted Jesus Christ in 1997 amidst street life in downtown Chicago. After Jesus saved me from laced weed, I gave my life fully to Him. This led me—a babe in Christ at that time—to minister the Gospel even on the streets of downtown Chicago, where I formerly smoked and sold weed and defended that lifestyle by handling guns,” Pitterson shared.

A Musical Mission Rooted in Faith

Reality Youth’s music is deeply rooted in his faith and personal experiences. His songs echo themes of spiritual authority, deliverance, and opposition to false doctrine, as well as a passionate love for Jesus Christ. His discography includes powerful tracks like:

  • Spiritual Warfare & Victory: “Consuming Fire,” “Stronger Than Satan,” “Demons Them Betta Run,” “Bon Satan Outta People,” and “Gwaan Fi Lucifer.”
  • Warning Against False Doctrines: “Reject The Mark of the Beast,” “Just Like Me,” and “Stand Over Rome.”
  • Bold Stand on Controversial Issues: “Sodom and Gomorrah Rise Up Again” and “Bon Out the Sodomites Them.”
  • Worship & Devotion to Jesus: “Put the Fawda First,” “God Faith,” “Pray Without Ceasing,” and “Create in Me a Clean Heart.”

His upcoming fifth album, “Stay on Fire for Jesus Christ,” continues his commitment to spreading the gospel through music.

More Than Music: A Ministry of Action

Beyond his music, Reality Youth is an active minister, taking the gospel beyond the stage and into the streets. He hosts an annual street procession for Jesus, preaches on street corners, and ministers in schools and community centers. He is also dedicated to an annual back-to-school gospel concert and is a regular participant in Love FM’s Belize City Christmas Parade, using every opportunity to share the message of salvation.

His passion extends to mentoring young gospel artists, encouraging them to create music that is authentic, bold, and rooted in the truth of the Gospel. He firmly believes that music should be transformative, timeless, and led by the Holy Spirit.

A Call to Reach the Nations

Although Reality Youth’s music has touched many lives, his deepest desire is for it to reach further, inspiring generations to surrender to Jesus and receive eternal life (John 3:3,5). He and his wife, Lynette, his main partner in ministry, continue to faithfully serve from their home in Belize City, Belize.
