100 Arrested, 37 Motorcycles Seized as Order Restored

April 29 2025 — Law enforcement authorities have arrested over 100 individuals and seized 37 motorcycles in the past 24 hours, as joint services continue their efforts to restore law and order following recent unrest sparked by the death of 11-year-old Adriana Younge.
- According to a statement from the Office of the Commissioner of Police, those detained face charges ranging from robbery under arms to other criminal offenses.
The seized motorcycles were reportedly used in the commission of various crimes. The GPF also confirmed that wanted bulletins have been issued for several suspects still at large.
The heightened security measures come as part of a coordinated response by joint services to stabilize the situation across the country.
While the immediate threat of violence has diminished, patrols remain active in all ten administrative regions to deter further criminal activity.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Public Works joined the joint services in cleanup efforts across the regions as part of a broader initiative to return the country to normalcy.
Authorities are urging the public to cooperate with ongoing operations, reaffirming their commitment to restoring peace and ensuring public safety.
