November 18 2024 — Agriculture Minister Zulfikar Mustapha handed over a poultry plucking machine to students at Winifred Gaskin Memorial Secondary School as part of efforts to enhance their Agriculture Science program.

This donation follows a request from the school’s Agriculture Science teacher for technological support to better equip students preparing for their CSEC and CAPE exams.

During the handover ceremony, Minister Mustapha emphasized the government’s commitment to revitalizing the agricultural sector, noting that President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali and his administration have been working tirelessly to drive development in this vital industry.

The new equipment, he explained, will allow students to move beyond traditional chicken-plucking methods and adopt more advanced processes, making agriculture more engaging and innovative for young learners.

Minister Mustapha highlighted that exposing students to modern agricultural tools is part of a broader effort to make the field more attractive and accessible to aspiring agriculturalists.

This initiative reflects the government’s dedication to nurturing future leaders in the agricultural sector and fostering a deeper interest among youth in innovative farming practices.
