New Pump Station for Pomeroon, Region 2

September 19 2024– Earlier today, Minister of Agriculture, Zulfikar Mustapha, officially commissioned a brand-new pump station at Cozier, Lower Pomeroon, Region 2.

The $261 million Guyana-dollar investment is set to significantly enhance agricultural productivity in the area, benefiting local farmers and residents.

In addition to the pump station, the Minister also discussed upcoming projects aimed at further boosting the region’s agricultural potential.
These include the construction of a solar drying facility, an agro-processing facility, and modern shade house facilities, which are set to improve production and sustainability for local farmers in the near future.
The new pump station is expected to play a crucial role in supporting the area’s agricultural expansion, aligning with the government’s broader efforts to modernize the sector and foster economic growth.
