Guyana has once again demonstrated academic excellence on the regional stage, securing the top Caribbean awards in three major subject categories at the 2025 Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examinations.

The Ministry of Education announced that Guyanese students captured the highest honours in Business, Humanities, and Sciences, reflecting the nation’s consistent, high-quality performance across disciplines and reinforcing its leadership in regional education.

The top Caribbean performers are:

Dhanesh Tularam – Most Outstanding Performer in Business, Saraswati Vidya Niketan

Raquel London – Most Outstanding Performer in Humanities, Queen’s College

Samara Munro – Most Outstanding Performer in Sciences, Queen’s College

The Ministry commended the students for their exceptional discipline, dedication, and perseverance, noting that their accomplishments are a testament to the collaborative efforts of teachers, parents, and school administrators.

“These achievements highlight the strength of Guyana’s education system and the commitment of our students to academic excellence,” the Ministry said in a statement.

The Ministry of Education extended warm congratulations to the awardees, their families, and educators, while reaffirming its dedication to supporting learners nationwide and promoting excellence across all areas of study.
