WIN Commends GECOM for Smooth Voting as Disciplined Services Cast Ballots

August 22, 2025 – The We Invest in Nationhood (WIN) Party, led by its presidential candidate Azruddin Mohamed, has praised the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) for its professionalism in facilitating voting for the Disciplined Services.
Mohamed, accompanied by WIN officials and party members, visited several polling stations across Georgetown on Thursday as members of the Guyana Police Force, Guyana Defence Force, and Guyana Prison Service turned out to cast their ballots.
Some 10,000 servicemen and women were expected to vote between 6:00 hrs and 18:00 hrs.
WIN’s delegation observed polling at the Police Officers’ Mess Annex, Guyana Training Centre, Base Camp Ayanganna, St. Stanislaus College, the Coast Guard, and the Administrative Office of the Guyana Prison Service. The team later travelled to Base Camp Stephenson, Timehri, East Bank Demerara.
Following the exercise, WIN commended GECOM for what it described as a seamless and well-organized process, noting that no major hiccups were reported at the stations visited.
The party also extended its appreciation to the men and women in uniform for exercising their constitutional right to vote, calling their participation a vital contribution to the democratic process during this historic election.
