“Any Attempt to Rig this Election Will Have Serious Consequences”- Norton

Opposition Leader and presidential hopeful Aubrey Norton today visited several polling stations to observe as members of the Disciplined Services cast their votes.

Speaking with reporters, Norton emphasized the importance of transparency in the electoral process. “We just want to ensure that there are free and fair elections and that the law is followed. We have made it very clear that any attempt to rig this election will have serious consequences,” he stated.

When asked about his confidence in the joint services’ support for the APNU, Norton responded, “I believe they will vote. Notwithstanding all the tricks the government would have tried. The government has done so many bad things in this country, the high level of corruption, the incompetence, the evasiveness, and people have seen through them over the years that come election time they make all of these offers and appear to be good and just after the elections they go back to being themselves. So I think the joint services are well aware of that and they are going to vote APNU.”

On his plans for the day, Norton told the media he intends to visit “as much as I can” polling stations.
