We see a path to victory-Norton

September 02, 2025

A Partnership for National Unity, despite experiencing losses in one of its traditionally main strongholds, Region 10, the Coalition Leader Aubrey Norton, who ran for President in the September 01, 2025 General and Regional Election they (APNU) has seen a pathway to victory.

“We are tabulating our statements of poll should be ready shortly. We do see a pathway to victory once we maintain the present trend in Region 4”

In a video message on Social Media, Norton said while there were losses in Region 10, the coalition did pick up additional votes on the East Coast Demerara, Georgetown, and the Corentyne coast.

“To all members of and supporters of a partnership of National Unity As presidential candidate, I want to say thank you for supporting the APNU., I believe we fought a good fight I believe our supporters did not turn out in the way expected, but in the circumstances, I think we’ve done well. We are tabulating our statements of polls should be ready shortly. We do see a path to victory once we can maintain the present trend in region 4, though we suffer losses in region 10. I should also pint out that we have improved on the East Coast, Georgetown and we have improved in the Corentyne and so we see a pathway to victory we ask you not to be carried away by rumors and false statements of poll, let us wait on the official declaration we will stay on top of it to ensure there are no irregularities, once again thank you, we enjoy your loyalty thank you for it and we will analyses situation and strategies on how we move forward” Norton said in his video message.

The APNU ran a more subdued campaign compared to the one it ran while in office in 2020. During the hosting of several campaign rallies and meetings, the numbers were not encouraging for the partnership, which has struggled to regain the confidence of its base, who felt neglected by the David Granger administration.
