Norton Optimistic About APNU’s Path to Victory Despite Setbacks

Presidential Candidate of A Partnership for National Unity (APNU), Aubrey Norton, has expressed confidence that his party still has a pathway to victory in the 2025 General and Regional Elections, even as results continue to be tabulated.

Norton thanked supporters for their commitment throughout the campaign, assuring them that APNU remains vigilant to ensure the final results are credible and free from irregularities. He emphasized that the party is closely monitoring the process and urged citizens not to be swayed by unverified rumors.

While acknowledging that voter turnout was lower than expected and that the party suffered setbacks in Region Ten, Norton noted that APNU made gains on the East Coast and in the Corentyne. He said these improvements, coupled with a strong showing in Region Four, could position the party for overall success if current trends continue.

The APNU leader also suggested that financial influence affected some communities, particularly Linden, but maintained confidence that the party would recover support there. He noted that while many voters had been anticipating a coalition, APNU is still on track to compete strongly.

Despite the challenges, Norton insisted that his party sees a clear path forward, provided the tabulation remains transparent and free of manipulation.
