L-R: Linton Trotman, Damion Singh and Sheldon King

34-year-Old Taxi Driver Carlton Dameon Singh called Fat Boy of 214 Independence Boulevard Albouystown, 47-Year-Old Security Guard Sheldon King called Noel of 165 Cooper Street Albouystown and 29-year-old (unemployed) Linton Trotman of 3233 North East La Penitence were all remanded to jail on Tuesday.

The men were remanded to jail by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennon when they appeared before her charged with simply larceny and unlawful possession of arms and ammunition.

The men are accused of stealing and being in possession of a number of arms and ammunition valued at three million dollars, property of Adepemo Peters.

The court heard that the offenses were committed in December 2022 and early January 2023. The charges were laid under section 164 of the Criminal Law Offences Act Chapter 8:01. When the men appeared in court they all pleaded not guilty to the charges which were read to them.

In the latter part of December 2022, the police reported that a security company had misplaced ten weapons including rifles and small arms from a strong box that was on their business premises on Carmichael Street.

Six of those weapons have since been recovered while the police continue their search for the others. Since the disappearance of the weapons, police detectives have been working around the clock to bring the weapons back in. the task has not been an easy one but the force understands the importance of keeping illegal guns off the streets and out of the hands of criminal elements.
