Two men have been remanded to prison after appearing before the Leonora Magistrate’s Court on cocaine trafficking charges brought by the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU).

Devon Haynes and Narindra Singh appeared before Magistrate George on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, charged with possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking, namely 70.008 kilograms of cocaine. Both men pleaded not guilty to the indictable offence. Bail was refused, and they were remanded to prison until February 20, 2026.

In the same proceedings, Mark Jainarine appeared before the court to answer a charge of aiding in the commission of trafficking the same 70.008 kilograms of cocaine. Jainarine also pleaded not guilty but was granted bail in the sum of $600,000. His matter was likewise adjourned to February 20, 2026.

All three matters are expected to return to court on the adjourned date for further proceedings.
