Tiger Bay Triumphs in Commissioner’s Football Penalty Shootout

October 26 2024 – In an ongoing effort to engage communities, Commissioner of Police Clifton Hicken continued his outreach today with the second installment of the Football Penalty Shootout, this time hosted in the Tiger Bay ward of Georgetown.
The competition saw residents participating across several categories, including boys, girls, and male and female adults.
The winners in the boys’ and girls’ categories each walked away with a $20,000 cash prize, while the male and female adult champions earned $100,000. Notably, the male category ended in a tie, and the two finalists split the $100,000 prize.
Commissioner Hicken is set to take this event nationwide, with various wards and communities around the country gearing up to test their skills in the coming weekends, all part of his initiative leading up to the Christmas season.
Last weekend, the East Ruimveldt community kicked off the series as the first to participate in the Commissioner’s Football Penalty Shootout.
