St. John the Baptist Primary absolutely exploded onto the pitch on Saturday, during the electrifying opening day of the MVP Girls Under-11 Football Championship at the Ministry of Education’s Ground, unleashing a devastating 7-0 annihilation of Smith Memorial Primary.

Thalia Alert orchestrated a masterclass performance with a stunning hat-trick, finding the back of the net three times in rapid succession during the 19th, 21st, and 24th minutes before Elianna Grant extended their relentless assault with consecutive goals in the 32nd and 35th minutes, with Antacia Livan adding the final flourish in the 40th minute to seal the dominant victory.

Defending champions Marian Academy refused to be outdone, delivering their own commanding statement with a devastating 6-0demolition of Tucville Primary that showcased their title credentials and defensive superiority. Haley Haberkorn, Ella Fernandes, and Haley De Nobrega combined for a suffocating performance, with Haberkorn striking first in the 16th minute before Fernandes doubled the advantage just two minutes later, followed by De Nobrega’s clinical brace in the 20th and 22nd minutes, with Fernandes and Haberkorn each adding second goals to complete the comprehensive victory.

Santa Rosa Primary completed an explosive opening day of offensive fireworks with their own dominant 7-0 triumph over Genesis Primary, led by Rovena Johnson’s phenomenal four-goal masterclass alongside Bree Atkinson’s powerful brace that dismantled their opponents’ hapless defense.

Additional opening-day victors emerged from Potaro Primary, West Ruimveldt Primary, and Waramuri Primary, while Agatash Primary and Georgetown International Academy battled to a competitive draw, as did North Georgetown Primary and St. Aloysius Primary, setting the stage for an intensely competitive championship campaign ahead.
