Shotgun, Ammo Seized During Police Operation Along Berbice River

During a police operation in Regional Police Division #6 along the Berbice River on Tuesday, a shotgun and ammunition were discovered and seized.
The Cordon, Search, and Eradication Exercise took place between 3:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Police conducted searches at a one-storey wooden house in Fort Nassau, where two men fled the scene upon noticing the approaching officers, leaving the premises unsecured.
Upon entering the house, the police found a Browning shotgun, five live cartridges, and one suspected spent cartridge.
The firearm and ammunition were confiscated, as no license was found on the premises.
