Police have confirmed that the body of the woman found in a trench near the Eccles dumpsite road has been identified as Angela Andrea Sooknanan.

Her father, 76-year-old Romel Sooknanan of Thomas Street, Kitty, Georgetown, identified her at around 3:00 p.m. this afternoon.

According to Romel Sooknanan, Angela Andrea Sooknanan, who was under treatment for mental health issues by Dr. Harry, last visited the doctor on Thursday, August 8, 2024, where she was seen, examined, and treated.

On Friday, August 9, 2024, Angela asked her mother, Charlotte Sooknanan, for money to travel to Diamond. Her body was later discovered in the trench at the Eccles industrial site.
