The police should be making an arrest in relation to the murder of West Coast Berbice teen Haresh Singh soon.

On Friday, the police told Leader of the Opposition Joseph Harmon that a conviction is looming for the September 2020 murder of the teen.

“The Commissioner gave his assurance that the matter was under investigation and that a conviction is forthcoming in the murder of Haresh Singh,” Harmon said.

The Leader of the Opposition along with shadow security MP Geeta Chandan-Edmonds, MP Roysdale Forde,  Chief Whip Christopher Jones and PNC Member Aubrey Norton met with Police Commissioner (ag) Nigel Hoppie, Crime Chief Wendell Blanhum and other senior officers at Eve Leary.

No one was charged for Singh’s murder. Three men have been charged for the murder of cousins Joel and Isiah Henry, who were found murdered days before Singh.
