Miner Jailed for Inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm

— Pleads Guilty, Sentenced to Three Months

A 39-year-old miner, identified as Darius Manson of Wax Creek, Upper Mazaruni River, has been sentenced to three months’ imprisonment after pleading guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm.

Manson was arrested on October 2, 2025, and charged today (October 6, 2025) by ranks of the Kamarang Police Station for the offence committed against Junior Matthews.

The charge, was read to the accused when he appeared before His Worship Magistrate Teriq Mohammed at the Kamarang Magistrate’s Court via Zoom.

Upon pleading guilty, Manson was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment.
