A 19-year-old gold miner, Aaron Wilson of Bartica, was today, sentenced to one year in prison after pleading guilty to multiple charges, including Break and Enter and Larceny, Simple Larceny, and Break and Enter with Intent to Commit a Felony.
Wilson, who was arrested on October 3, 2025, appeared before His Worship Magistrate Teriq Mohammed at the Bartica Magistrates’ Court, where the charges were read to him.
He pleaded guilty to all three offences and was sentenced to one year’s imprisonment on each charge, with the sentences to run concurrently.
The offences were committed against Roy Defreitas, Vashisht Ramillian, and the St. John the Baptist Primary School in Bartica.
