KFC, Petra Commission Grandstand at Ministry of Education Ground

KFC in conjunction with the Petra Organisation and the Ministry of Education officially commissioned what will now be known as the ‘KFC Grandstand’ at a ceremony on Wednesday evening at the Ministry of Education ground.
Speaking at the ceremony, KFC’s CEO Paul Subryan highlighted the significance of having the facility adorned with their Grandstand.
“As a demonstration to what our national pledge says and it says to dedicate my energies towards the happiness and prosperity of Guyana, I want to give you this magnificent structure that will enhance lives and enhance the playing experience at this venue. Ladies and Gentlemen, the KFC Grandstand,” Subryan announced.

Meanwhile, Co-director of the Petra Organisation, Troy Mendoca who chronicled the beginning of the Petra Organisation to the use of the Ministry of Education ground, thanked KFC for their contribution and support.
“So wea re very happy, to be here at this juncture…so not only football will benefit, but school sports will also benefit, families will benefit and this was done because of our vision and setting attainable goals. Thank you KFC, Thank you Government of Guyana,” Mendonca stated.
The KFC Goodwill International School Football Tournament will be the first event after the commissioning of the new grandstand.
Deputy Chief Education Officer of Hinterland Development Marti DeSouza was also in attendance and called the new commissioning of the stand “monumental” in the continued development of young people that participate in sports at the facility.
The KFC Goodwill International School Football Tournament will be the first event to be hosted at the venue after the commissioning of the stand.
