The Police Headquarters Team successfully defended their title for the second time in a nail-biting final against the Officers Team, clinching victory in the 2025 edition of the Commissioner’s T20 Cricket Tournament at the Police Sports Club Ground, Eve Leary, earlier today.

After winning the toss and opting to bat, Headquarters came out swinging with an explosive start, racking up 59 runs in just five overs.
However, a sudden collapse saw wickets tumbling before middle-order powerhouse Troy Leitch stepped in. Smashing a couple of big boundaries, Leitch turned the tide, helping push the defending champs to a respectable 150 all out in 19.3 overs.
Top scorers for Headquarters:
Kevon Boodie – 39

The Officers’ bowling attack was spearheaded by Troy Benn, who bagged 3 wickets, while Stephen Harris and Bernard Bailey grabbed 2 apiece.

The match came alive when Kemol Savory smashed back-to-back sixes off Kanhaiya Ramkaran, igniting the crowd! But Ramkaran had the last laugh, bowling Savory out the very next ball, shifting momentum back to Headquarters.

Ramkaran was unstoppable, tearing through the batting order with a match-winning 4 wickets for just 21 runs in 4 overs. The ever-reliable Kevon Boodie also delivered, picking up 3 wickets for just 12 runs in 1.2 overs.
