Guyana Hosts FCLP for High-Level Meeting
May 14 2025- Minister of Natural Resources, Vickram Bharrat, alongside British High Commissioner to Guyana, HE Jane Miller, welcomed representatives from Forest and Climate Leadersโ Partnership (FCLP) member countries to Guyana for the FCLP all-member meeting.
Minister Bharrat currently serves as co-chair of the partnership, working alongside UK Minister Kerry McCarthy.
The meeting convenes global delegates to deliberate on forest and climate priorities, highlighting forests as a critical nature-based solution to the climate crisis.
The FCLP brings together countries and partners committed to combating deforestation and land degradation through comprehensive, cooperative strategies.
Discussions aim to strengthen international collaboration and promote sustainable forest management to meet global environmental goals.
