Four arrested for terrorizing West Dem Communities

Up late Tuesday afternoon, more than one hundred persons were arrested for violence, looting and other criminal offenses as they capitalized on the death of 11 Year old Adriana Younge.

By late Tuesday evening, that number increased with the arrest of three teenagers and one adult who were robbing persons in the communities of Meten- Meer- Zorg and De Willem.

Those arrested and presently in custody are  18 Year old Kevin Thomas called ‘Romel’, 17 Year Old Amos Moore, 18 Yea old Vishul Persaud and 31 Year old Ryan Badadal.

On Monday evening, president Irfaan Ali called kn citizens to cease and desist their acts of terror on property, citizens and public infrastructure. He has vowed that all those who use this tragedy to create mayhem will be prosecuted.

It was several posts on social media about the presence of the four persons who were conducting robberies in the areas. They are expected to be charged with robbery under arms.

According to a police report, acting on the information, police arrested the suspects and recovered several items, including a mask, a knife, and a quantity of suspected cannabis.

Authorities have not yet released the identities of the suspects.
