Chase set to defend KFC title against Trinidad’s St. Benedict College

December 20 2025
Chase Academic Foundation will defend their KFC International School Football title against St. Benedict College of Trinidad and Tobago on Sunday at the Ministry of Education ground.
Both teams got to the final by not allowing a single goal in each of their semi-final matches on Friday evening.
Chase booked their spot in the final with a goal scoring onslaught on Suriname’s Technical Institute with a 5-nil drubbing of the continental neighbours.
Three quick strikes from Chase in the opening 10 minutes of the game easily put the game out of reach early, with Malcolm Hendricks opening the scoring in the fourth minute followed by a goal by Dustin Ifill in eighth minute and a goal by Neeaz Baksh in the 10th minute of the match.
Whitney King in the 56th minute and Shaquan David in the 76th minute closed the book on the Surinamese in the second half, giving the Dutch speaking nation no chance to hope for a comeback.
Meanwhile, earlier St. Benedict was the first to book their spot in the final with a 2-nil win over Jamaica’s Kingston’s College.
The defensive showing by the Twin-island republic school was phenomenal, thwarting all chances from Kingston College.
Ruben Phillip was the star of the show for St. Benedict, scoring a double in the 28th and 45th+3 minute of the match.
The final between Chase Academic Foundation and St. Benedict will kick off from 20:00hrs on Sunday at the Ministry of Education ground.
