GAS STATION BOMBING: More bombings and deaths were planned- Terrorist tells police

October 26, 2025 – The Guyana Police Force (GPF) has confirmed that three individuals, including a Venezuelan national, are now in custody as investigators intensify their probe into the tragic explosion that occurred on Sunday at the Mobil Fuel Station, located at Regent and King Streets, Georgetown.

The blast claimed the life of a six-year-old child and left four others injured, while also causing significant damage to nearby buildings and businesses.

According a statement issued by the GPF, a coordinated operation conducted earlier today led to the interception of a silver motor car (PSS 7874) believed to have been used to transport one of the suspects.

Following this operation, three individuals were arrested and are currently assisting investigators.

Information obtained from these arrests has provided key leads, as law enforcement continues the search for the principal suspect, who remains at large.

A Wanted Bulletin has been issued for the individual, who is believed to be of Spanish-speaking nationality.

The GPF is urging members of the public who may have seen or interacted with the suspect, or who may have information on his whereabouts, to contact the nearest police station or call 911 immediately.

Investigators have since confirmed extensive damage to the Mobil minimart, storage bond, four fuel pumps, and several adjacent buildings, including the KFC outlet, adjoining commercial properties, and portions of the High Court, consistent with the shockwave impact of the explosion.

Experts from the Forensic Science Laboratory have collected and are analyzing plastic and metal fragments recovered from the scene to determine their origin and evidential value.

The Guyana Police Force has reaffirmed its commitment to pursuing the investigation with urgency and diligence, emphasizing that every effort is being made to bring those responsible to justice and to ensure the safety and security of all citizens.

Further updates will be provided as the investigation continues.
