“Max” wanted for the murder of “Chucky”

The Guyana Police Force is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Gavin Johnson, also known as “Max,” who is wanted in connection with the murder of 33-year-old businessman Godfrey Gill, also known as “Chucky.”
Dead: Godfrey Gill
Gill, of Mowasie Backdam, Region Eight, was found dead at Mowasie Landing on Thursday, August 20, 2026.
Preliminary investigations indicated that Gill was in the vicinity of a shop when a loud explosion was reportedly heard. He was subsequently found lying motionless on the ground, prompting an alarm to be raised and the matter reported to police.
Police ranks were dispatched to the remote location as investigations commenced into the circumstances surrounding Gill’s death.
Johnson is now wanted in connection with the murder as investigators continue their efforts to locate him.
