October 16 2025

In a remarkable boost for grassroots football, Ronoca Concrete Inc., a leading supplier of construction materials, has officially partnered with the Petra Organisation to host the much-anticipated 2025 Republic Bank Under-18 Secondary School Football League.

This exciting collaboration was announced during a meaningful handover ceremony at Ronoca’s Plantation Diamond location, with Padma Seegobin representing the company to facilitate the contribution. This partnership highlights Ronoca’s commitment to strengthening the community by supporting young athletic talent alongside its core business.

This timely investment from Ronoca adds a new level of excitement and corporate backing to the sixth edition of the Republic Bank Football League, which is set to kick off on Sunday, October 19th, at the Ministry of Education Ground on Carifesta Avenue. The festivities will begin at 10:00 AM with a vibrant March Past ceremony, signaling the start of intense competition.

This year’s league will feature eight top schools from across the country, all vying for football supremacy. The stakes are higher than ever, as the top two teams will earn the prestigious opportunity to represent Guyana at the upcoming KFC Goodwill International School Football Series in December.

The competing schools include a mix of regional champions and Georgetown powerhouses: Abram Zuil Secondary (Region #2), Three Miles Secondary (Region #7), Presidents’ College (Region #4), South Ruimveldt Secondary, West Ruimveldt Secondary, Dolphin Secondary, Charlestown Secondary, and defending champion Chase Academic Foundation.

With such a diverse and talented lineup, the battle for the title promises to be fiercely contested. The Petra Organisation will soon release the official fixtures and conduct a team briefing, ensuring that everyone is ready for an electrifying tournament ahead.
