Guyana’s sprint prodigy, Tiana Springer headlines a shortlisted team of eight for the upcoming under-20 Pan American Games set to be held in Colombia from October 3 to 5.

Springer is expected to compete in the girl’s 400 metres according to the shortlist coming out of the Athletics Association of Guyana (AAG).

Also shortlisted on the squad is Rodel Greene who is expected to be the only field event athlete, competing in the boy’s triple jump while seasoned campaigner Javon Roberts will be in the boy’s 800 metres.

Skylar Charles will be the only athlete to possibly do a double at the event in the boy’s 100 and 200 metres.

Also shortlisted on the team are Tishawn Easton (boy’s 200m), Onesi Dunn (boy’s 100m) and Kaidon Persaud (boy’s 800m).

The team is expected to be finalised after the conclusion of the World Athletics Championships set to start today where Guyana will only have Emanual Archibald competing in the men’s long jump.
