IAAF awards Hermonstine for service to Athletics in Guyana

-AAG lauded for progressive strides at IAAG congress
President of the Athletics Association of Guyana, Amanda Hermonstine received an award for her long service to track and field in Guyana at the International Association for Athletics Associations (IAAF) congress being held in Tokyo, Japan.
Hermonstine, who has served track and field for over 20 years, was grateful for the gesture by the IAAF.
At the congress that also coincides with this years World Athletics Championships, the AAG was lauded by the President of the IAAF, Sebastian Coe for the positive strides the AAG have been making in Track and Field.
The AAG was represented at the congress by its President, Amanda Hermonstine, Second Vice-President, Mayfield Taylor-Trim and General Secretary, James Cole.
The World Athletics Championships is set to start on September 13 where Guyana will only have Emanual Archibald competing in the men’s long jump.
